Precariat Productions is thrilled to announce a co-production with the Coven of Tennessee Williams's steamy masterwork.
Kevin Hourigan will direct a immersive staging which will star genderqueer actor Russell Peck as the broken Southern belle Blanche DuBois. Hourigan’s credits include The Infinite Love Party at the Bushwick Starr and upcoming at ART, Imagine: Yemen at the Diamond Theater at the Pershing Sq. Signature Center, Uncle Vanya at Brooklyn College, Farmed at Joe's Pub, Imagine Sisyphus Happy at Pace University, Cenerentola at Curtis Opera Theater; Talk to me about Shame in the NYFringe Festival (Fringe Award) and at the Syrena Theatre in Warsaw, Poland; Sweeney Todd at the Performing Arts Institute; and Invisible Plains, a staging of new musical compositions in collaboration with Palaver Strings.
Max Carpenter (Come Back Little Sheeba/ Huntington Theatre, Boston, Red Speedo / Center Rep) will play Stanley Kowalski, and Isabel Ellison (The Children’s Hour / West End, Red Bud / Royal Court) will play Stella Kowalski.
The production will premiere May 2019 in Brooklyn.
